The Burns Historical Society is a family history organization based in upstate South Carolina.  Our membership includes known descendants of James and Lavina Burns, who lived near Duncan, South Carolina in the mid-nineteenth century.  Other members of Burns or related families are welcome to become members, share information, and attend our reunions.

Our 34th annual meeting and reunion will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church on Saturday August 13, 2011.  Please visit the Reunion site for directions and details!
